Moving to college is a daunting prospect for many. Apart from all the work you will have to look forward to, you are also going to be moving into a dorm room which will definitely be much smaller than your cozy large room at home. You could buy yourself a nice colorful rug or you could buy yourself a nice lamp to change the atmosphere in your room. Even basic necessities such as bedding and pillows can be bought in vibrant colors. If you are not much for bright color you could always purchase them in pastel colors to give yourself a calm feeling while you re studying. You could also decorate your walls with posters and maybe even your favorite painting!
If you share the dorm room with a mate, it is always important to ask for his/her opinion before any changes be made. remember that all your dorm room ideas need to work well on both of you if it is to serve you in the long run because the dorm room is not solely owned by you.
