Many people ask how to get visitors to their website. They all want to know how to start the process and what to go through. I’d like to talk about a few ways that I went about doing this.
The question doesn’t really have one answer. I might be able to go into a lot of things, but when push comes to shove it is where you are currently at in your business that really counts. Other people might be working with more than what you currently have.
If I was going to start out all over again, I would use the email list that I currently have. I’ve developed this online database of people that enjoy reading the things that I write. That is only just one example I can give you, I can give you some more tips as well.
My first beginnings with my online business, I didn’t have any leads. I began to develop a product and I found other people that had a mailing list and I did joint ventures with them. In the long run, I was using someone else’s resource to build up my own.
That is what I did, but you can go about doing things differently. You could go the SEO route and get visitors from the search engines or do some sort of pay per click to build up your list that way.
What kind of assets are you currently working with? Hiring an expert that has already been in your shoes can be another route to go. This next step works really well. If you want to find out if someone is going to like what you have to offer right away, you can always do a pay per click ad campaign. People will either like what you have or they won’t.
Let’s say you want to go the SEO basics route, then write up some articles and submit them to the article directories. Concentrate on picking a few keywords that work well for your business and anchor then in your signature. You can always contact other businesses and ask them if they would be interested in doing a link swap. Find others that are in your niche.
Some people want to find out right away if their stuff will do well or not so in that case I would go the pay per click route. You might be surprised with your results. It would be good or bad, but at least you will know where you stand. Take an ad copywriting course, for it will help you write those one line ads. You can always go to an online book store and get great ideas for title there. These are just a few things you can do to get visitors to your website right away.
